Dental Check by One Award
Launched in 2017, The Dental Check by One (DCby1) campaign was established by the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry (BSPD) in partnership with the Office of the Chief Dental Officer (OCDO) for England to ensure all children see a dentist as their teeth come through, or by their first birthday, at the latest. https://www.bspd.co.uk/DCby1/DCby1About
To help promote awareness of and engagement with DCby1, NASDAL (National Association of Specialist Dental Accountants & Lawyers) has established an annual award for the practice that best shows support for the initiative. Entries are now open for the 2025 award, and BSPD would be very grateful for support in encouraging dental practices to enter.
Here is some information about the Dental Check by One initiative (DCby1) and the award with NASDAL.
Many thanks in advance for your support to do anything you can to help grow the entry numbers! It is simple for practices to enter - and the winning practice will hold the title of Dental Check by One Practice Winner for a full year!
The number of words needed in entry submissions is 750 max.
We are looking for creative approaches to get babies seen for an oral health check before their first birthday, not just increased numbers
The prize is £1,000 to the winning practice plus a publicity campaign by NASDAL and BSPD’s media teams
The closing date is 7th February 2025
The winner is announced at BDIA on 14th March by OCDO and BSPD President
NASDAL and BSPD promote the winning practice via a press release and social media support
